E-Reader Borrowing Policy
- Must be 18 years old.
- Must have a valid Roslyn Library card.
- Only the primary cardholder may check out an e-reader.
- Only one e-reader can be borrowed on a card.
- E-reader will check out for a period of 21 days with 1 possible renewal.
- E-reader must be returned to library staff. E-reader must not be returned in the book return outside or inside the library. A fine of $25 will be charged for an unnecessary risk with this type of return.
- E-reader must be returned with all accessories given at check-out, and in good condition. If returned damaged or kit is returned with missing items, the borrower will be charged full replacement of damaged or missing items. We will not accept replacements in lieu of money. The following charges apply to damaged or missing items:
- E-reader charge: $125
- E-reader content: $15 per title
- Charging A/C cord: $25
- Charging USB cord: $10
- Kit case: $25
- Library staff will review contents of the e-reader kit with the patron at check-out and check-in.
- Borrower must sign the E-reader Services Agreement.
